    Alloygators

Has anyone used these or have experience of them?
They seem on the face of it a superb idea for saving expensive wheels.
I particularly like the easy dress up if the inevitable does occur!

I'm sure you meant AlloyGators. They appear to based on the rim protection band found on Dunlop SP tyres.

Hi, I did indeed, sorry for poor spelling of their name.
I think they seem like a good idea for people not running Dunlop SPs,
A fair solution if they work, for not a lot of money.

Certainly worth a punt if nothing else I'd say.

Yes I would think so too! may give them a try cheaper than wheel repair.

They remind me of those plastic covers that some old people put on their couch.

would helped me with my newly refubished and now curbed rim.

                  over-sharp steering.

Yes and you would need the plastic covers when you hear what some powder coating dudes are charging to repair the wheel lol!

hmm, not for me, imagine scuffing that and it popping off......there'll be a personal injury claim Idea is reasonable enough but looks too barryboy to me, even if they have stuck them on an Aston

Don't know how effective they are or how they look in the flesh.
It was a friend who does detailing who mentioned them and I had never heard of them or seen them.
Like everything else, probably different when they arrive, than ones advertised/ shown.
It reminds me of the old Billy Connolly descriptor when talking about catalogue photos, " It's not one you are bloody getting!" .
