    Misfire

Hello guys i have a misfire on my s2. It is fine on normal driving but when i put my foot right down it goes for abit and then misfires and nearly jumps off the road haha. It only seems to happen on full throttle tho if i press the throttle 1/2 or 3/4 it doesnt seem to affect it. Any ideas? MAP, TPS sensor?

Used to get a similar problem when I floored it, it wasn't really a missfire but power would die, come back, die come back etc... making the car kind of bounce like a kangaroo. Unplugging the MAF and wiggling the wire fixed it. HTH

i got the same problem on my urs4. still cant find the problem. ben from AVI performance told me to change the map sensor as vag com showed it being faulty. said that probably where the problem is as it cant read the turbo boost so wont give the correct amount of fuel to the engine.
so next week ill get it changed and will se then...

I was getting a lot of misfires with partial and wot. I replaced my original injectors last weekend and problem was fixed. I had tested for ignition/spark earlier.

It depends if it is a missfire, or a total cut of power?

The fueling is not dependent on the MAP sensor at all. Only on the MAF. This is why you can remove the N75 valve and unsolder the MAP sensor from your ECU, put a 1 bar wastegate spring and it will run perfectly fine, without limp mode and with no problems with fueling.

you could unplug the maf and see how it runs. have you pressure tested the intake system for vacuum leaks?

do you guys get throttle cut like on the later engines. in my s4 i can just log for throttle cut via vagcom.

Has your wastegate been tampered with?

Because you can hit the load limiter (fuel cut) quite easily if you mess with the wastegate.

Mine is actually fine today! I wiggled a few wires and disconected and reconected a few plugs and its ok. Must have been the heavy rain yesterday that done it haha.
