Newbie needs some advice

I've had 17's/18's/19's on my cars before and don't find them harsh on s2's as its a big car etc, 18's suit the car the best.

It's possible my suspension isn't quite standard I s'pose.
I did a 50 mile run on back roads today, even on 17" she was crashing & bottoming out in places. She's fine on A-roads though.

Every year in the part of Northants where I live, the frost comes along & gouges out the verge-side of the tarmac, creating a hideous, slewed surface. This is then poorly repaired (sometimes all it takes is heavy rain to wash the repair out!) & the cycle starts over again. It's a (not particularly funny) running joke in the area.
