, I always look at forum cars because I'm a genuine enthusiast myself but I don't and won't just discount a car thats not a forum one if you see what I mean. There are genuine cars to be sought out anywhere. I sold a 944 Turbo to a fellow forum user myself recently and I believe he got a soid car at a very fair price and I'm still a regular on that forum ( and club member)
I dont want to break any forum rules but I have serious doubts re the dealer who has the one I was on about anyway, my nose is twitching re that car. Sorry for not posting a link but as there was only one coupe on Autotrader at the mo

Re for the White one , my take is I have to fall in the wouldnt be seen dead driving it camp and come to think of it the word camp does pop in to my head there. If I wanted a whacking great rear spoiler I'd have an Evo and as for the interior well
I have to confess the Audi S4 appeals too but this probably isn't the place to ask about it. The thing is I like 'classic cars ' and classic car meets. I'm also an 80's retro man really but early 90's is fine. The S4 hasnt really got the retro look and feel of the S2 for me though i ssume technically it is superior but I'm not after a car tha makes my heart go when I look at it as well as drive it. Hope some of that makes sense.

Genuine quality cars come up here for sale from time to time. There are just less of them around these days. Would you intend to modify the car in any way or are you after a standard original car? That white car is for sale for a long time and it's one ugly car.ShaneComment

I have had Avants without Elepsoids, infact 2, both were on a K reg, I didn't know if that applied for the Coupes though.Comment

I would probably do some mild engine mods , mainly anti lag nothing too silly but the look for me would need to be near enough standerd. I cant really comment on the engine mods as I dont know the cars well enough to be passing comment TBH.
Normally I'd get a car try it for a few months and either fall in love with it or sell it .
If I fell for the car then maybe some subtle bits but nothing outragous. Plus for me how fast does a car really need to be , I'm interested in the S2 for other reasons including the fact that I want four wheel drive.
I would certainly like to get to a show or meet with a few S2's and their owners there but this is difficult with so few beign about so it may not happen and I may just have to take a punt so to speek :mischeif:

Mainly Anti Lag ?
Thats going to be a sure way of sorting the engine once and for all.
Anti Lag is for rally cars only that require instant response, A road engine would last no time but the rally engines do run different cylinder liners and valves to cope with the extra heat generated whilst using it.Comment

Mines an early 93 ABY and has epislodes & Later Leather Which was an option...
I thought they were standard on all ABY's Coupes & Avants... But I stand to be corrected...Comment

Iirc yours is an L reg
K reg coupe's and avants don't get ellipsoids but do get a aby lump and 6 speed boxes (there is one known k reg 3b that I know of that didn't get any of these)
They also mostly got 3b 5 spoke rims, orange indicators and some avants lost the roof rails.Comment

My k reg avant is the first aby avant in the uk and came with 3G five spoke wheels orange indicators and no roof rails and non ellipsoid headlights! Everything else is aby n 6 speedComment
