    Le Mans Series, Silverstone 2010

    Hi boys n girls!

I've been finding myself abnormally busy in recent times, mostly for good reason (apart from bumping Fanny the Golf....)

....anyway I just thought I'd pop in a post about the pics I took at Silverstone on September 12th for the final round of the Le Mans Series, the Autosport 1000km.

Normally I bung a raft of pictures in here, but this year to save a lot of hassle I'm just going to bung in a link to the album on Facebook.

If you fancy a peep at my efforts, feel free to check them out! It should be open to anyone to see.

Nice photos, I have 100's from when we went to Le Mans in the summer. Can't wait for next year. Was at Silverstone for the Britcar earlier in the month too, not quite as exotic though. Got photos from that, but they are mainly just showing me and my friends stumbling about the place drunk in the pouring rain.

great photo's Martin...i have mine somewhere but not anywhere near the quality of those. Was a good day as usual but so much busier than the previous year and for the first time i noticed a slighty more obvious 'we dont want people in the back of the garage' approach to some of the teams. Certainly hope it doesn't go the way of F1 - there's something really special about the atmosphere at sports car events which i really like and i hope they dont ruin it by pushing people away.

Hmm, Le Mans 2011 is suddenly in my thoughts dare i post up a forum trip poll and watch it crash and burn

Nice shots there mr. KotK! I think you should balance the cars up with your other favourite subject matter - just in the interest of fairness of course

Cheers guys! I have to say I also noticed that "don't come in here" attitude ...no entry to the pitlane without the right pass, that sort of thing ...hopefully it won't become a victim of it's own success, because it is a great series.

Repo those pics are great! And Road Atlanta is a glorious circuit to capture pictures at. The chain link fencing is a bugbear if you have to stand the "wrong" side of it - the only solution I can find is to make sure you're panning at speed to blur it to the point of being invisible, but ideally don't shoot pics through it at all. Fortunately there are some good areas at Silverstone where you can shoot through or above the fence.

Other than that I wish I had some faster glass, but I should have upped my ISO for the start as I went a bit higher than normal on shutter speed to ensure a half decent capture for the first corner ....the camera exposed for the headlights though and in some respects that's no bad thing, and a lower ISO does reduce the contrast a bit in those circumstances. I still have a lot to learn!

Ah now, Rusty, I've not given up totally on the ladies ...it's gone a bit businesslike though so they have to earn me money in return! I did a second shoot recently for a lass I've known a while who pays me for the privilege of getting her kit off haha! She wants more done so she will be back, probably next week
