Will is travelling from Dalcross so i have directed him to AVOID the A9 like the plague, Inverness - Grantown- Tomintoul - Braemar - Blairgowrie - Perth. Done this a few times and its a brilliant drive, probably an hour slower, but can be affected by snow at the ski centres. But please please drive carefully, i know its hard in a new car, esp and S2!
Baltiboy, where abouts are you exactly? I have probably passed you a few times on recent visit up the road, but i am never in the S4 or 90 when i flash and wave much to the bemusement of quattros/S2/4/6's

I was the same when I picked up my S2 last Thursday, I had to wait 3 weeks to get it and I have to wait another 3 months until I move back to enjoy it properly! However, it is definitely the right car for me, a little higher on the miles front but it has great history and it has the "right" enhancements done to it so very happy.

                Enjoy!
You might leave the S2 fold every so often - but you'll always come back!

I'm guessing your sending him down the A93? I use that road sometimes when i'm coming back from Aberdeen but in a bloody 130bhp Sprinter (still fun though) One of the best bits of the road is where it passes Glenshee ski centre heading south, thats a long down hill section I may head over that way as I'm in Aviemore overe new year. He will love the drive back down there, even better in the snow

aye he will do a bit of the A93 about 50 miles from my house
Lecht - Glenshee is a hoot too.
I had a good run up there a few months ago coming back from knightriders in crieff going home, had 2 hours to get home and drove like the wind, followed an older skyline for a bit till he turned off, and got loads of toots and waves, kept up with him but f**k did it shift in a straight line.

You need to get yourself over the cairnomount next time your coming back, also good

Where you going too? It's a long drive. I do Leeds-Aberdeen and back in a day in a sprinter van but I set of at half 2 in the morning (sometimes have a nap just outside Aberdeen for half hour or so) and have a stedy run back and home for half 4-5ish. If I was you i'd stop in a B'n'B for the night and have a good fresh start the next day for a awesome drive home..........

While your up there enjoy it as it's a long way from home and cost a fortune in Petrol to go back up there. When I went to Fort William/Aviemore and Oban I did about 1200 mile and near £300 in petrol(worth every penny though)

Will I hope it works out to be the right car for you..
I remember my return journey was top class. Picked the car up close to London and took a scenic route back through wales to the boat in holyhead. Probably the best run I got out of the 'ol girl actually.
