What would you do about the gap on either side of the panel? Would it be possible to make the pull handle work or would that be "decorative"?

i think your lights may need swapping for the all red ones,i have seen the rs2 rear panel on some coupes and it looks spot on if done right.

The handle would be decorative as the boot release is through the lock/button.

I thought mine were the all red ones? Is there 3 versions of coupe rear lights then?

I have attached a pic of orange type and red type.

Personally I don't like it. Plus you need to muck about and put the number plate somewhere else, like by fitting an RS2 rear bumper.

I think Spink may be referring to the all red US style tail lights.
AFAIK there are 4 different types of tail light.

I would say no. Leave it as it is. It just looks wrong...

I friend of mine here in Georgia has had a RS2 reflector on his coupe for a while now. If I remember correctly the contour of the reflector isn't an exact match with the outer lights. Only a picky A$s would notice though. He doesn't have the grab handle either.

I think the ones i have seen have quite likely been tinted red completly, the white reverse lights dont do much for me in the one above,if done well it can look spot on,(the b2 80 v6 at adi had the backend all tinted red for instance) as mentioned the placing of the rear number plate could be an issue though

The dark blue RS2 coupe that lived at Sal's lock-up for a while looked great, with properly modded Rs2 rear bumper too of course.... without that it looks out of place and a bit pants IMHO.

Leave it as the factory intended in this case. Only suitable for an Avant or Saloon.

@ Salinot, he didn't ask for this critique, but he should loose the wheels, (go to five stud as well), headlight eyebrows, stubby ariel, the chrome trim around the edge of the grille, the front bumper, the rear bumper and red panel, sometimes the factory gets it right, as in the Coupe's red panel. Like I said he may not even know his car is posted for all comers to comment so apologies if it causes any offence.

                          Kind regards to all.

David. you're a gentleman as always. Don't worry........the owner of this coupe has always marched to the beat of a different drummer and has thick skin. For example, he's owned few Pug 505s diesel estates.

                              Tom,

He may benefit from going onto the Stepford Wives program for drum beat adjustment.
