Worth a look as I have just been for a drive and all is well

I think a general tune and check over tomorrow if I can get the garage warm

undo the pipe some where ( under car by the pump.) An check if it is under much pressure,, much much super spray. Remember someone had the black box the pump goes in split once also..

Mk 2 golf digifant miss fire

Well I say miss fire it's fine on tick over but will not rev beyond 4K and juders along badley. Plugs, Cap, Roator and leads all good. So lets start guessing:

Coil braking down?, it is 21 years old.
    Fuel pump issue?

    Keep the guessing coming.

    cheers
