Personally i don't think caterham's suit turbo'd units at all. An N/A 4cyl unit that revs the the moon is much better in something like this. And should be the law that anything that goes in a caterham should have webbers or throttle bodies

I went out in a Westy running approx 550hp, was properly insane, it runs a sequential box and felt like it was trying to wheelie on full boost !

Its the red Westy that does TOTB owned by Stu Blackery, he doesn't run anything near that power on a track as its too much of a handful ha ha

Personally I agree though if I had one I'd use a proper atmo engine, something a bit like the Honda engine I'm selling would be perfect ( nice little advert there LOL )

Totally agree about them being tracktoys only though, couldn't help but feel a little concerned when out in the turbo one on the road, no room for error at all, and you are dead if you hit anything, no doubt about that !

I've seen a guy running a little supercharged 4 pot in something similar to but not a Caterham or Lotus or Westfield, as far as I could tell - but mechanical blowers would give you a more progressive delivery!

Search on you tube for westfield cosworth for the one i went in, its red

There is a s2000 powered one as well, was at the rs day at croft giving everything a hard time.

I think if you search westfield honda you will find it, also westfield dyno should find a supercharged k20 powered one.

On my phone or i'd post the links !

Mate had a westfield seight (rover v8) that was awesome shame the rear suspension was so naf, difference between drive in or out took the osr wheel from 0 to -2mm toe in on a 15" rim!! Bumpsteer.com!! Neither the less the noise made you forget all about that hahaha

Well yeh ideally I'd of put one in my Escort if they weren't so damn expensive

Lovely engines but for Historic cars only these days, no point using one if you can use something else.
