S2 would probably be ripped in two
I ve used my Disco to good effect pulling hedges out ( and knocking walls down, but that wasn't on purpose, LOL)
Was you at curbrough when the landrover got stuck and the old quatty saved it lol..

Im just saying do the landrover discos mk2(series2) i think not have any form of diff lock meaning like in my above post sometimes the s2 would win...

For those that don't off road much!
If you get 'Cross Axled' as it is called when 1 opposing wheel on each axle is spinning, then (whilst still in gear on throttle) add a bit of left foot braking or a tweak on the handbrake as it can be enough to curb the wheelspin and transfer enough drive to the idle wheel.
And for the haters, if you are so convinced, enter your quattro in this:http://www.ladoga-trophy.ru/english/news.php

This was one of our trucks.

This is the sort of truck you may be trying to follow.

My old man has a series2 land rover. Even that would drag the s2. As its already been said its down to the gears. I've used it to drag a few old shells about and pull up a tree stump you don't even know they are there.

There is a point where horsepower can influence the outcome, s2 not got enough though. I'd be willing to bet my TEF 20 fergie with its awesome 17BHP could pull your mates disco backwards sideways or upside down all day long.
