Just got off the 'phone with Surrey Police. Noticed some new marks round the drivers door latch on my S2. Some low life has tried to get into it during the night, but presumably realised that the lights on the dash and the Autowatch sticker on the side window weren't left over from Christmas.
Very comprehensive questionnaire, including " could it be victimisation ?" ( maybe - who knows ?). I mentioned that within sight of my bay window I could see much much newer, more expensive cars etc etc....including the wifes' Jazz next to it.
Last time this happened ( about 15 years ago, it was my MK2 Golf, same damage but (expensive) radio missing - the only time I had left it in; " yes sir, only seven cars were done in your street last night" ). Of course, I've got a crime number but I'm bl**dy angry. Anyone got any good ideas as to further deterrents ? Had thought about a proximity light some time ago, but opposite house has one that keeps us awake its so bright ! Any kind of indellible spray that catches them " red handed" ?
Short of sleeping in it with my (censored) ready I don't know what else to do....Ideas to The Forum please.
