because the air travels through the radiator now and cools the block itself

if you took the radiator off you could probably have the worlds first air cooled S2. just block the pipes up or fold them back and tie wrap them.

Agreed - my aux rad was like that when I bought the car but the rest of the car was mint. Now removed
