    Micrometers

I'm in need of a set of decent metric micrometers, been looking at Starrett. They seem to be pretty good value compared to Mitutoyo, are they any good?

    What do you folks use?

i am not sure if mituoyo still make stuff in japan, as they appear to be made in brazil now but try and get japanese as they last longer.

you might have to get a couple of mic's due to the size range you are after...

Another vote for Mitutoyo, we use them at work and they get very abused by people who don't know what they are for (scribe/chipping hammer/miniature G-clamp) and they just keep going.
