Did you work on your S2 today ?

    I did

Started at 10.30 am finished at 16.30 and achieved the following

    Replacement of front ball joint.
    Strip-down/clean rebuild of 996 callipers.
Installed new textar pads to above.
    Replaced brake fluid.
    Replaced thermostat.
    Flushed and refilled cooling system.
Repaired 2 leaks in my A/C system (won't no if it's worked till I get it gassed).

    All went very well

    Plans for tomorrow:

    Replace rear brake pads.
    Re-bleed brake system.
    Clean inside and out.

I'm going for a well earned pint now

What did everybody else achieve today?

      No!

Had to look after the kids while wife had a lie in, then took Thea to cinema, and now watching footie before putting kids to bed and then cooking dinner for friends tonight.... (Should this be on Facebook ?)

      My plan for tomorrow though:

      Up at 6.30am:

      Finish fitting front wishbones
      Change oil
Fit new front discs and pads
      Roll car out of garage
Strip front seats, fit wiring loom for electric seats
      Fit front RS2 Recaro seats

      All by lunchtime!

            Yes!

Painted lots and lots and lots of parts and cleaned about 40% of the engine bay. Can't wait to get on to the fun stuff!

Didn't work on my S2 but did on my newly bought 80 saloon 16V quattro. Sorted out the wiring in the engine bay (some poeple shouldn't be allowed to work on cars ) Resecured the fuel lines, straightened out the fuel tank strap, drilled and tapped the strap mounting bolts. Its an on going project and now the weather is better it will be getting worked on a lot more.

Finished re-route of petrol pipes round battery tray on the coupe and started it up

Went to go out in the avant but engine stalled after 30secs, the fuel pump has died

Went to Halfrauds for some roofrack bits on the bike and took the long way back

Spent some time tidying the coupe engine bay, removing unwanted hoses and clips and cleaning small bits and hard to reach areas with an old toothbrush

Ive switch to 95 ron for the time being as the s2 is being used for work, a situation I am less than pleased with

Feels down on power as a result.

Still, I reckon I'm the fasted mobile electrician in the UK
