    Leaking Throttle Body

How much leakage if any do you guys see when pressure testing the intake?

I found my throttle body leaks out the shaft on the side of the throttle cable and return springs. I can hear the air escaping quicker when i wiggle the end of the shaft due to the play in the shaft. But whats really odd is when i pressurise the intake above 1bar it seals up and stops leaking.

Has anybody ever dismantled a throttle body, is there any kind of seal in there or does it just it rely on a tight clearance between the shaft and bushing to seal it?

i had this same issue. when i took the TB apart there is no seal its just a bearing pressed in to the cast shape of the body. is it causing boost problems? i dont think it will be if you have boost problems i would check everything else first as a new TB is ££££ although you might get a second hand 1 at a good price if yoou really need it.
