You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
I'd be very cautious what a dealer tells you, they just tried fleecing my mate of a few grand for MOT work on his 05 plated A4 S line, I took it elsewhere and turned out it needed brake pads only.
The subframes can rot like mad, I have what looks like a pukka front 6 speed one, obviously I'll know if that is the case once its off the car but it would be £60, I can even have them blasted then powder coated if you wish.
