      Money or parts? The cost is massively influenced by how much is done in your garage... it's a good figure though, don't have to touch the bottom end if it's healthy and head will be fine too. RS2 route witha hybrid turbo is the cheap 'n' dirty option.

        The "disease" is still as contagious as ever, once one acquires one of these cars.

        and so another "victim" succumbs.

            Ah it's an Avant... I'd say RS2 shocks + ARBs, 996 brake upgrade first - about £1500 but if you source good used parts you could do it less than a grand.

            Then you need to sort the exhaust, RS2 decatted used could probably be had for a couple of hundred or ideally a Stainless turbo-back in at least 2.75", but that'll be closer to a grand.

            Finally.. RS2 intercooler & exhaust manifold, new wagner's about a grand or used/ebay you can do half that. Then decide on a turbo (small hybrid will do about that) again about £300 used or £450-500 new, injectors (RS2 or similar) about £200 and get it custom mapped.

            Of course you'd get a few hundred quick back in old parts too.

                If its not mapped at all get that done first, that's what I have and it's quite quick for a big heavy car. You'd be supprised.
                Just some finishing touches to do now

                  Can you do the work yourself? Ive spent close to 2K and have/am doing the work myself. If its not chipped that maybe your first 'fix' 280bhp, speak with orangepeel on here as he just did his. Then you need rs2 turbo, exhaust manifold (I have one available shortly), injectors, remap + 3 bar sensor, FPR, rs2 intercooler (I have one of them available shortly as well), or home brew. Look on ebay for porsche calipers because sometimes you can get really lucky, I did. A8 disc (ebay) and caliper mounts from Bambridge/VRS on here.
                  Best of luck mate, keep us all up to speed with developments

                    To reach 350hp on a stock car you need:
                    * Bigger turbo
                    * Exhaust manifold recommended
                    * Bigger injectors
                    * Uprated fuel pump recommended
                    * ECU remap
                    * Decat

                    Everything else is a nice to have, but not really required.
                    Price wise, this will be about 1300-1400 GBP in parts, not including labor and remap cost.

                    There are possible hidden costs though - hoses not being up to the job, clutch, etc.

                      Good point about clutch , worth while doing if the engine was out the car at the time ,I changed mine over only thing is after you have done that and some hard take offs, you realise that the gearbox mounts and diff mounts need replacing

                        This is what I have done.
                        Rs2 turbo, wagner mani, rs2 injectors, 044 pump, decat plus the map, with only 1.4 bar the car made 360bhp. The overall cost £1,700

                          I'd go for slightly bigger injectors than the RS2's.

                          1.4 bar is quite conservative. The 360hp sounds correct though, if it holds it closer to redline.
                          You're lacking torque though... but the car is probably feeling butter smooth without a hard kick.

                              Depends how good your mapping is.

                              But generally 600nm is a good point to stop with normal pump fuel, so that you can put in 95 RON once in a while and not fear damage to the conrods.
