Been on the phone today to my own insurance :mischeif:
Decided to seek advise before I fired off an 'educational' letter to the Royal Mail !
They could not understand either why my coupe should be declared a Cat C for one door
Its an Audi not a Delorean Time Machine !
My Insurance company are looking into it, especially as the royal mail driver gave false details ! :corey:For what this cost me so far I could have bought an S2

My dad has been a manager at Royal Mail for 30 years, he told me the other day that the Royal Mail don't have insurance and if there is an accident they fork out of their own pocket, odd. Spoke to MY insurance today and still non the wiser
But I did go to another bodyshop for another quote where I was greeted with "Hello, nice quattro is this a 5 pot ?"
Didn't know whether to strangle him or hug him
Then I spotted a sunburst orange Mk1 Escort Mexico and Mk1 RS Turbo in his premises ! Droool !
I'm going to send this new (lower) quote back to the Royal Mail with a firm letter and reminding them that ALL old audi quattros are collectors not rusty old Mk3 Escorts

Finally got a letter back from the Royal Mail today....
They have agreed to the repairs been carried out at the body-shop I got the lower quote from (thought they might)
Even told me I'm entitled to a courtesy car whilst the repairs are undertaken !
It only took a two page rant, 3 adverts for V6 quattro coupes to compare prices and that quote !
Don't you just love a happy ending !
For what this cost me so far I could have bought an S2Comment

Another example of having to really fight to correct someone elses f
ck up though. If there were any morals/ethics left in this world the Royal Mail shouldn't have tried to wriggle so hard in the first place.
Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...Comment
