There should be A washer between the crank and front pulley, it sits inside the toothed sprocket for the belt so you wont see it when all together. Having said that i see your using the AAN pulley, they may not use the washer i cant remember.

P.S. Just seen URS4Boys post, possible you have the washer in place with the wrong damper.

You cant see the washer when together, the toothed pulley for the belt fits over the crankshaft and washer. Only way to tell is to take it apart.

i see, or actually i dont lol

but i know what you mean now.

so removing or trimming down this washer would in theory, pull it right..............

pulling the engine out to do the clutch and turbo soon so will find out then

The later (and only currently available) 251J had a shorter snout and needed a spacer washer to line things up properly. There is a chance that you might have used a 251H (or C) damper to replace a 251J damper but unknowingly, kept the spacer that only the 251J needed in service. Just speculating here.

Sorry. Although I often save photos of things like this that others post up, I don't have what you seek. When I did my timing belt on my AAN in 2010, it would have had a 251C or 251H damper and there was *no* washer involved. Just the new crank pulley I installed (old one was fine but I had a new one) and the old damper. All I could find in my photo archives was this photo, I think from Marc S of EFI Express, showing the washer that is required when you use the 251J damper.
