I'm in the market for a new hacksaw, fed up of my floppy POS.
Want a good quality frame, nice and rigid with a well designed tensioning system, any recommendations?
old eclipse hacksaws are bullet proof and certainly made to last, i picked up a few from car boot sales which are probs older than me and still in 100% useable condition, better than new chinese moly crap...
Ive got an old eclipse, i couldnt think of the name until i looked at the other replies. Nice cast alloy handle, tubular hoop, and a simple but effective wing nut tensioner, i dont like using anything else.

I have an Eclipse - A very good, reliable old saw - I don't know how old it is but, it's at least *25 years old *not on the original blade though
