    Classic insurance

Afternoon boys and girls, I have also posted on other forum sites and would appreciate your collective input.
I am looking to insure my '95 2.6 coupe and seeking to go "classic" insurance as the car gets very little use and my usual insurer has gone a bit daft this time round, so who are we using for classic policy and can anybody give me some examples of what they are paying for which model and any other relevant info and who with
    Many thanks gang

Try Lancaster Insurance for a quote.

A bone stock RS2 for a year (29, Male) came in at less than £300 on a 6k policy last time I checked. Unfortunately I couldn't go with that because mine has a few mods, but I was shocked in a positive light - rare with insurance!

For a classic policy try Sureterm Direct, they gave me the best deals on both my MK II 16V Golf and Corrado G60 by a long, long way. I pay just over 150 quid a year on each, fully comp with agreed values. Both are limited mileage classic policies, I can do 5K in the Golf and a mere 2K in the Corrado.

I was lead to believe with classic insurance although cheap the vehicle has to be 100% standard and you also don,t get any no claims bonus each year. reduced mileage to. I don,t no how true this is but maybe someone knows

Depends on insurer. I have been turned down a classic policy due to mods but footman james have insured my ur quattro with aby engine on a classic policy for less than 300.

In my experience you can have mods - but have to declare them
You don't earn no claims bonus and there is an agreed limited mileage
You can't use your car to drive to work.

That's a good point both my Golf and Corrado are completely standard, which helps keep the policy costs down. I still can't recommend Sureterm highly enough, UK call centre with friendly knowledgeable staff. They don't like modified cars though, I asked about the S2 and they didn't want to cover me on it due to high level of modd's.

I get a no claims bonus.

I can use the Golf to drive to work but not the Corrado.
