i did pay £400, collect the car Saturday

A4 saloon in white (blatently Cream and looks ****** horrid in person!!)

exhaust blowing its t1ts off so chopped up item coming up!

will be RWD molesting this car, fitting my coilovers and fitting my 18`s too

i wanted a VR6 golf/vento but think these sound the absolute bowl locks with exhaust mods

its full of washing machine, fridge, freezer and furnature from my ****ing idiot ex girlfriend and my old house

Well, picked the car up at 2pm, with a missfire and blowing exhaust, no big deal.

driving back at 70mph for about 20 mins we come to a roundabout, brake pedal went straight to the floor!!! so used handbrake to slow down and got it back to one of my centres safely,

the n/s/r wheel was virtually on fire, boiled the fluid hence no brakes

so, put a set of plugs in, runs lovely
freed off the seized rear caliper and put new pads in,changed fluid on all 4 wheels, perfect
re-gassed the air con, icy icy cold
put water in the washer bottle, found the pipe had come off so pulled it to fit, refitted it but still no worky

drove it for about 20 mins, all was good, on the A12 it got thrashed upto, well rev limmiter in 4th and it flew, really like this car!
2 mins from home, went to pull away from a roundabout and BANG..................SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEC H

its only gone and destroyed the frickin rear diff hasnt it, seriousley i could do without this right now to be honest

looking for friggin diffs now!

well the A4 has 3.889and is common between 2.8 and 1.8t

if any 80`s have this then im laughing,

what about output flange sizes?

I've never ever heard of a rear diff going bang, it hasn't got odd size rear tyres has it?

nah mate, its got cracked and nackered 205 55 16 all round, checked them today when removing.

shagged diffs are quite common when on google lol

1.8T and 2.8 30v share the same Diffs, i will find one but its £100-£150 i should be taxing it with, ment to be driving it to newcastle next weekend!

no chance of that now as i cant afford a diff and fuel costs

i might just get "any" B5 diff and make it RWD, saves screwing about then.

although i was very very impressed with the performance, rev limmiter in 4th was like 130 mph!

I had one recently (although a tiptronic version),lovely cars they really are,but when I came to sell it I could barely give it away even though it only had one previous owner and a near fsh.They must be one of the best value for money cars around at the moment.

I read somewhere that they can be chipped upto about 220-230 without much hassle

Yeah I had one too- good cars and absolute bargains now,..I sold mine for peanuts too-went back to S2 and CQ as I just missed the character of the older coupes
