What a stunning example, always admired this car when it popped up on the forum, fair play to the owner for believing in his cars real value too.Considering the mods, and the clear attention 'OE mintness' with so many recent parts, you can tell its a cherished RS. GLWTS.

no rob you cant have the wheels! hope you feeling better
Fraser car is a stunning example, I know for a fact he's put a hell of a lot of time and money into it after speaking to him at the forum meets. Its an amazing looking car but the market for theses is limited and that's not a benefit all the time as said manta time it worth what someone will pay. If they were a more known car like the E30 M3 and the Lancia it would be worth that kind of money but they are not and thats a shame.
I suspect this one is being priced according to monies spent, which of course anyone can factor in on a car, but does not mean you will get it...
On that basis, Jamo, yours must be worth £40k
And other nice modded cars also, Sonics, Ross, Newsh's, Gregs, Mark H, Dougals...
Happy driving
I don't think i could let mine go for <£60k if i added up what i've spent on it
I think its good that some of these well maintained and looked after examples are going for decent money. It can only help resale values for everyone, and hopefully mean that not so many are written off for minor accidents.
About the mods and getting at least a part of the money he spent back...
Here in Italy (but I'm sure it's the same in Germany when he comes down to collectors rather then pistonheads)he will be penalized rather then having more money.
If someone is after a collectable car here, they want the car to be original at maximun possible level and that engine bay does'nt look original at all not mentioning the wheels...
I reckon the best money you can get it's for an original (not even chipped) car.
It's sad to say but if this guy want to make the money he wants (or even more)best way it's to break the car and sell the parts on german ebay, one of our Club members from Switzerland had an hard tuned (400/430hp) RS2, by selling it in bits he made 20 something grands (euros) in 2009.

So an RS2 is worse than a S2 when it comes to paint finish??? My S2 Was Brilliant!!
Gotta agree my car has a few blemishes but the paintwork still looks amazing after 18 years! But anyway at 150k, the mileage on the rs2 in question isn't especially low...
One possible issue i may have with this RS is the tyre size,i can defo see a 'gay' stretch going on with the 8.5 MTM's look like rubber bands, why when a 245 is poss? Dont we just love a 'stretch' tho just not on an RS2
