Another reason not to have an aftermarket alarm fitted!

Have been stripping down a cabriolet and on removing the fuel tank found a leak! Turned out that when the alarm fitter had screwed the battery pack onto the panel behind the rear seats he hadn't thought about what might be on the other side. So one of his self tappers went straight through the fuel tank!!!

that's an expensive alarm especially if you added up the lost fuel!

That made me laugh out loud and brightened up my day

Whatever muppet put the alarm system into my coupe routed all the wiring up and over the steering column. Thing is the steering column is constantly turning so when it wore through the live ignition wires the whole lot went up in smoke

If you want something done right, do it yourself!

Yeah, I'm never really happy when someone else is working on my S2. Didn't notice any smell of fuel although I only drove it 80 miles home.

I still have to remove half an alarm from my S2... and then make the central locking work again.

I've just received official scorpion (toad, sigma, sterling) wire colours and positions for fitting alarms to b4 cars. So if anyone needs this info for door locking wires, indicator Flash, door switches etc. Then PM me as I will send it to you but I think that this info shouldn't be publicly available.
