S2's how quick are they really???

I have found unexpected gravel under braking has a similar effect!
At least you can left foot brake on the old stuff. That really annoys me sometimes with DBW stuff.

When I was in college I worked at a local Porsche garage, and had the opportunaty to try a lot of different Porsche's:

930 3,0 Turbo, 911 2,7, 911 SC 3,0, 911 Carrera 3,2, 964 Carrera 2, 996 3,4 Carrera 2, 996 3,6 Carrera 4, 944 2,5, 944 Turbo, 944 Turbo S, 944 S2, 928S 4,7, 928 GTS 5,4, Porsche Cayenne Turbo etc. and none of them is as fast as my old Audi RS2.

Touché I'm comparing apples to bananas.

You'll need to change that gearbox on the 944 to keep up on top end though

I found the 930 tbo to be quicker, 330hp and 300kg ligher than RS2, its hard not to be. or are we talking tuned RS2.

My 944 has pulled on an RS4 mid range , not tried an RS2 - there isnt many about, even fewer stock ones.
I was lucky to run out of road before speed, as at the end of 5th he would have pulled my pants down..

(and if i changed the box i dont think id have pulled in 4th and 5th swings and roundabouts)

Rather have an RS4 though, best of all worlds.

Out of interest, if i launch my S2 at 4k often, whats going to break first? the dual mass or the mounts?

I have only tried an 930 3,0 turbo from 1976 stock with 260 bhp, and that was slower than my stock RS2.

My little sisters first car was and 944 Turbo S with 250 bhp, and that one was also slower than my RS2.

Depends what your ears like to listen to

My old 2.3e 10v Coupe sounded better than my decatted Milltek'd ABY S2.
First thoughts when I bought it were, it sounds like my stepmums old Volvo T5
