my little borther was asking me this, he might be buying my 80 shell for a track car

        i suggested VRT

he fancies either a Zetec turbo or a 2.2 VTEC turbo

not big power but revvy and reliable

i want to do the VRT

zetec, easy to squeeze power out of, and the VTEC speaks for itself and the revs...........oh the revs lol

obviously i was the brains behind my brothers escort, and all of mine

Quattro is too heavy for vtec, leave that to flyweight tegs and civics. VR6 if you have to be different, should improve the weight distribution a smidge.

For track? 1.8 or 2.0T. Shorter, lighter engine than the I5.

                    its about size too rusty,

VRT makes lots of sense to me

especially after seeing what 034 did with it in a B5

                        That's a little extreme, Terry.

From my experience with Audis, I would like an I5T S8 as a budget quattro track toy, with a manual gearbox, of course.

Otherwise I would just do as James says, and get something that actually handles, like a GT3.

If track only, VR6t, if road as well as track, 1.8T.

A car that handles, maybe just buy a Honda s2000, and drive it on the road, track straightaway with no, (real), extra work / expense, and enjoy the convertible feature in the summer.

Spend less money and buy an E30 325i and just dog it, with a lsd, and a quick rack from a, I think, a Z3 ?

I'm not the best to give this advice thought tbh.

                          Let us know what happens.

3.3 flat six turbo Porsche motor, nice and light and the weight is nice and low down,
                              improve the handling no end.
