Mine is definitely being kept. Like most she has cost me a small fortune so far (original purchase and import costs but also the mandatory 'making good' items to date which are only half complete ) but has been totally worth it. Not only do I love the car to bits I also love the fact that she's a rare vehicle. Audi UK have confirmed her as the one and only original S2 sedan in the UK so I feel I have a duty to care for her and wouldn't let her go to anyone other than a genuine enthusiast.

Clear out the breather system bud. I have rebuilt the head and had new guides and VSOS's fitted and I have got a little bit of a smoke issue when I put my foot on the accelerator after the car is on overrun. Not much so Im hoping that once I clean out the breather system the car will burn off what ever oil was in the system from before I did the head work and then it will settle down. i havent even done 200 miles since the rebuild so its not done to many heat cycles so im hoping it settles itself down shortly after this.

I've had my UR 18 years (albeit it's been parked in my parents garage for the last 9 years and had my RS2 14 years (although that's been parked in my garage over a year)

    Loving cars is like marriage....

If you do get a "Good One" That does what she's told and "Never complains", Take's it when and where you want & like's it.

Doesn't through a paddy or show's you up in front of your mates.

Then it can be the one and only true love...

My S2 avant married me 11 years ago (for life) she was young with only 48000km, 11 years later she turned 200000km and still with FASH and no problems yet but she finally blown her first bulb (a lincense plate one!) so she´s getting to 19 this year and who didn´t blew a bulb or two in those crazy years!!!

Well done to the guys who've had their pride+joys so long..wow-double figures..I've never owned a car for longer than 4 yrs..thus wary of making extravagant claims about 'forever'!! My coupe I've had for 3 yrs and 26,000mls; recently has come very close to being a breaker, but it's finally going into the garage on Sat. for a 'rebirth', so yup, muchos £££S and at the end of it I may be totally in love again! Glad I'm saving it anyway...and of course it is the most involving car I've ever owned
