Have a search around as this one seems expensive.
Connection to the plastic hose you have there is possible but difficult. You warm it up with heat gun and push onto the barbed fitting. Its very easy to get the pipe too hot and its then prone to cracking. Better to replace that pipe completely to the next fitting (under the car). Merlin Motorsport sell good pipe and fittings suitable for E10 high pressure applications.

Basically you're looking for a M12 banjo with a 8mm barb fitting but the unusual part is the dome cap nut so a kit like this is your best deal.

I need the cap nut part anyway so that kit could be worth grabbing just for that.

From some more research, I think what I need is an M12 banjo with an M12*1.5 male end (found one online which I will try). The fitting that you can see in the tank seems to be that same size as a lot of VAG fuel fittings so it's worth a punt.
