School trip to London, any tips and advice?

    Hi all,

Four students including myself are organizing a school trip to London in april.
The number of students is 30. Now we need to organize a few things to make this a success:
    1. a place to sleep for 3 nights (monday till thursday) possibly incl. breakfast in the centre of London
    2. citytrip by bus or boat
    3. company visit incl. tour if possible, preferably a company that has something to do with logistics
    4. visit a football match
    5. watch a musical or so
    6. get a metro ticket for every student for the days we stay in London

Well that's about it for as far as I can remember now, point 4 and 5 are not my cup of tea but we are ordered to do so.

As we are students we are on a budget, so keep that in mind if you have any advice

    Thanks in advance

We're a little bit older 20-27 (yeah I'm the oldest ) but a youth hostel could be fine, any in particular?

If you want the real British experience then you want pubs, curry houses, kebab houses and mockney hangouts

            I'll get me coat

You must go and watch the changing of the guard at buck house But only if the guards are doing it though, I used to be one and the best footie match is CHELSEA

I am in London most of the week, will ask few hotels and youth hostels about the cost.
Do you have set dates yet?
See London on one of these, http://www.bigbustours.com/eng/londo...FYbHtAodGi8AOQ

Allright, most of the activities and the stay have been arranged now. Only need to arrange a coach ride from Stansted airport to the hostel near Hyde park and back, if possible including a sightseeing tour at the same time (on the trip from the airport).

Can anyone advise me some companies? Got contact with one at the moment but like to know if better prices are available.

                    Thanks

Go to the bridge which connects with the London eye and enjoy playing where the ball is

A few of my highlights, in no particular order:

Get a bagel and then after some beers, a curry on Brick Lane.

Go to Fabric for a Friday night rave.

Grab a Wild Boar or Ostrich Sausage bap from Borough Market.

Have a walk along the Southbank, across London Bridge for a view of Tower Bridge, through St Katherine's Docks and to the Tower of London.

Have a late night drive around the sights when there's no traffic.

Go to The Comedy Store for some quality stand up comedy.

Try to get home on the night bus by randomly getting on buses based on their destination.

My teacher does this trip on a yearly basis and the train was expensive last year he told me. For 30 people the amount we are facing is 840 gbp for the trip from airport to the hostel near Hyde park and back incl. sightseeing. Hope that's reasonable.

Royal Mail is a good one indeed, would I need to keep a eye out for any missing packages with Audi parts when I'm there?
I believe the teachers have been looking into this already IIRC though, don't know which company.

Will keep track of my money, phone etc. for sure.
