Have a look at coach hire, that might be cheaper?

Coach would certainly be cheaper. If there is 3 or more on the train you can get a group save ticket which gets you 1/3 off or get a rail card before hand if there is a group of you as discount may be worthwhile. Also if you book 12 weeks in advance tickets will be cheaper and travel off peak to get cheapest. Standstead express is about an hour to liverpool street I thinkGreg

If you want to go watch football avoid Chelsea and Arsenal as it costs a lot and avoid Tottenham as they are *****Hi all,
Four students including myself are organizing a school trip to London in april.
The number of students is 30. Now we need Audi Service to organize a few things to make this a success:
1. a place to sleep for 3 nights (monday till thursday) possibly incl. breakfast in the centre of London
2. citytrip by bus or boat
3. company visit incl. tour if possible, preferably a company that has something to do with logistics
4. visit a football match
5. watch a musical or so
6. get a metro ticket for every student for the days we stay in London
Well that's about it for as far as I can remember now, point 4 and 5 are not my cup of tea but we are ordered to do so.
As we are students we are on a budget, so keep that in mind if you have any advice
Thanks in advance

Cheap and cheerful, go watch Fulham or Barnet playComment

Thanks for the advice guys. Some things couln't be arranged due to the short time to plan everything.
As for the match we got tickets for Millwall now, actually I don't really care as there are no engines in this game.
Coach works out a bit more then a tenner each per trip plus about a tenner for the sightseeing which is not bad. I'm told it's about an hour and a half trip from Stansted to our hostel depending on traffic. I expected it to be closer by.
Have to get up about 3 in the morning monday to make it in time to Eindhoven airport here

Try to visit the London Dungeon if at all possible, I think it's lots of fun, especially for the age group

Enlighten me please, embankment? I'm sure there is not enough time to do all the fun things there are in London but the more options we know in front the better.
Yes all legal to drink unless we would be in the US.Comment

The embankment is along the themes waterfront. If you come off Waterloo station you can walk to it in seconds. Also the iMax cinema is there, that's worth watching a film. It's 14 stores high screen.
Well hit up the ice bar and soho. You will find with London everything is linked close together. The tubes will be the fun part, just jump on and get off somewhere lol.Comment
