I'd do love a 4age tho great noise! I know of a mk2 escort in a dehumidified bubble,I don't know the terms but, fully tunnelled and turreted and a 2 litre zetec built in uk in it. I think the dyno sheet said Crawford. Shel was imported from Australia rust free. Showed me a receipt for a 6k gearbox, dream car!!

some of these top flight mk2`s in ireland are upwards of £250k builds, with jaw dropping speclists, 7 speed sequential boxed, 350bhp N/A millington engines (Cossie YB basicaly, heavily massaged lol )

and the shells........... 25k for rust free 2drs from malta are quite common......... yes a bare shell!

there was a BOA and a BOB cosworth designed and built 24v 2.9 200bhp engine
bullet proof and super reliable! they love turbocharging too and bolt on 400bhp turbocharging is common with standard engine and aftermarket managment

***Edit, this was only fitted in the granada (BOA) and the later Scorpio (BOB) models, these were not to be confused by the "granada" name, the later frog eye cars were 4 stud hubs and not the same in any way as the early granadas

the RS200 was born literaly because of the Quattro, no ifs or buts, ford **** itself and dropped the RS1700T`project overnight, and 5 days later the RS200 was drawn and moulds made for the pannels

the engine was further developed and the BDT-E (2100cc) was on 650bhp in the early stages (900bhp wasnt un-common on tarmac events in gpB for this engine)

Also, going back to the 24v cosworth

there was a prototype Escort RS Cosworth (think 4x4, big fin, yes that one)
it has a RWD only 24v cosworth BOB engine!! how **** would that have been......... lol
