    A big thank you

Just wanted to extend my thanks to a few members who supplied parts allowing me to successfully rebuild my brothers 16 valve coupe. He hit a low wall recently damaging the near side corner. Knowing the insurance would scrap it we rebuilt it.
So thanks to a number of you who helped out. It's now back together and looking fantastic.

Ish for the s2 bumper and mirrors in the correct colour
Poor boy for putting me in touch With ash2050 who brought the bumper to the midlands from Luton. Oh and storing the bumper for week.
    Error for the light
Ash2050 for transporting bumper for nowt
    Blue Quattro for the bonnet.
    recurveandy For fog light.
Finally birmingham Audi for sourcing odd little bits and the near side wing. The parts guy described it as a proper audi not like the modern tosh!!

    Thanks lads. Steven

its a good excuse indeed. looks better than ever now in my opinion.
it was easier to find a s2 bumper than standard coupe.
i think we are both glad that we saved it from certain death.

we considered the options. let insurance write it off offer 700 quid pay 350 excess leaving him with 350 and probably increase his premium by that amount.

break it and use add bit of money to it to buy something else. my brothers funds are limited so only going to get something cheap and you end up with an unknown car.

or rebuild his well cared for and proven reliable coupe for circa 700 quid.

even taking away the emotional side of things it was the most logical option. and certainly very rewarding.
