this is awful, I hope you get her on board to pursue justice, the police should be able to perform a rape kit and ascertain any damage, possibly helping to attain more forensic evidence from clothes, fingernails, residue, etc, if you can get ahold of footage of people that are identifiable that were with her that will also help.

She is lucky to have a friend like you, and although she may not see the pluses now, pursuing this will only help long term

the thing is she is technically a crime scene she should of been medically examined asap to secure forensic evidence vw help convict the offender. the longer its left the harder it may be to prove.
i used to work as a rape chaperone and you need the assistance of the aggrieved party to get the best outcome.
its a crime that makes your blood boil .

If you convince her to go to hospital I think you will find that they have a duty of care to involve the police due to the circumstances.

As much as she does not want to you need to involve the police and hospital / doctors. It sounds like the area was well covered by CCTV, but they really struggle to get convictions on this kind of stuff after a short period of time has passed as the evidence has gone. Of course the police never deal out the right kind of justice for this kind of sickening ****.

Take her to the hospital. Say to the emergency doctor that this is an alleged assault and you would require samples. Also tell the know the police is not yet involved for psychological reasons and the hospital would be able to arrange a social worker to have a chat to her and get the police on board soon after.

Edit: + more importantly you need her to have a blood test to test for any sedatives that may still be in there otherwise it will be a hell to prove intentions later

How awful, I'd be steaming as well. You really need to get her to a doctor or hospital quickly, whatever was used to sedate her may not be in her system too much longer and will be a vital piece of evidence. All the best in trying to deal with something so aborant.

Been to hospital. Absolute waste of time!
They will not examine her downstairs in case they tamper with evidence. Told us to go to police doctor. It's taken me hours to get her to the chuffin hospital. Trying all I can think of to get her to the cops.

Have you called the police to ask for advice? Also make sure the CCTV footage is backed up soon incase it rewrites itself. I have been called to take footage off just a few days later and the incident has already gone. Depending on the type of system used. Iv been thinking about this since you posted it, makes you so angry.

Really sorry to hear this. It makes you wonder what a terrible world this has become if you cant go any where even with colleagues. I feel very sorry and hope you manage to persuade her that justice has to be done to catch these scum. Situations like this want you to do justice yourself but never stoop to their level. Good luck with this as its really touched me and many others on this forum
