To be honest mate, i don't really care at all what you belive or not. That car is long gone and i have no idea where it is.. What i do know is that it was a real RS2, and over here there are so many RS2,s that there isn't really any point in building a replica. I know there are a few but that was not one. I know you have alot of knowlage about these cars, but you don't know everything...
how much is a full leather RS2 interior worth ?

Okay. Not what I remember you saying but I'm not going to search and find the references that I *think* I remember.
As for the guy with the Green RS2 with beige interior. I would *love* to see several photos, exterior, interior, build tag etc.
If there is a photo of the build tag and the ADU serial number, I will do a 3 or 4 page WORD document for the owner, similar to the attached generic build tag UrS breakdown, but for the green RS2.

That's easy then. You could have told us it had a factory purple interior and we'd have to believe you.
I definitely don't know everything but I do try to back up what I try to say with references and/or hard evidence.
I am not saying that there isn't/wasn't a non-black based RS2 interior. I am saying that that was not the normal factory RS2 offering and would have to have been special order. I sure would have liked to have seen the build tag on that one.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

You can search all you want. What I just wrote above is what I know. A friend tried to look for paperwork in the government imports for an s2 and if I remember correctly he only found 1 coupe. RS2 had been imported by a few rich of the timeOkay. Not what I remember you saying but I'm not going to search and find the references that I *think* I remember.

I have photos of this car on the laptop and I can upload them tomorrow. Its too late to text him now but I will tomorrow so he can take a photo of it. Hopefully he will still have the car as it had been on sale a while back but its no longer. He must have a photo of his greek car documentation which states the vin and engine code.
By the way I don't see what is the obsession with 'being right' when u already agree that these cars we tell you may well have been a special order in the first place? I for one don't say I know everything but u sure as hell come up as the US govwrment having ' strong evidence ' of Syria's chemical weapons kind of attitude.Comment

Well I have certainly seen half black leather and half platinum alcantara in an RS2 - whether a special order or not we will never know. I am sure a buyer would have been able to choose from the S2 trim options if they asked nicely. Who gives a ****?

The "issue" is not about N3T/03 (black leather and blue alcantara) or N3T/05 (black leather and silver/grey alcantara). Those are givens (normal RS2 options) along with N1U/07 (all black leather). The question is were there any RS2s with factory beige/ecru/travertine etc interiors (with RS2 Recaros) or was the interior from an S2 (or was the "RS2" just an S2 coverted to RS2 specs).
I am hoping for some documentation on this not just heresay.

I like to think that the US government has an UrS4boy attitude of "show me your documented evidence".

That said, I do hope that you will be able to provide some documents that show that the factory did indeed produce RS2s with interiors that were not listed as normal options. For the archives.

I have sat in an RS2 with beige interior before while at Tots several years ago. Tobias and I know a real RS2 when we see one.
I was tempted to buy them for my Ecru S4, but then my wife slapped me and I suddenly came to my senses.
My interior is also an oddity and was a special order item.
To answer the original posters question.....I gave 2300USD 7 years ago for the complete interior; seats, door cards, a, b, c pillar trim, and the little felt covered pieces that run along the top of the rear side windows. Was another 1200USD to have it custom crated in Zurich and air freighted, but I don't like to think about that.

Thinking more about your statement, I am offended by the analogy. This "discussion" about the vagarieties of OE RS2 interior fitments is nothing like gassing people to death with Sarin nerve gas. What's next, comparing someone to Adolf Hilter?

Tom: Was the one you saw at Tots also Ragusa Green? If so, I would wonder whether it was part of a special run for a "sponsor". While I was living in Hamburg Oct. 1986-Feb. 1987, one of the local VW/Audi dealers had a special run of earthy green metallic GTi's done with dark beige/brown buffalo hide Recaros (and rear seats, door cards, etc) and was marketing them as BOSS Hugo BOSS specials.
When there was a special order on seating, how was it documented? Anything on the build tag of the "donor" car?RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

Yes, it was. I am of the belief that any cars built under the Porsche roof could be ordered any way you wished as long as you had the money. Sonderwunsch.
Ecru Seats....sure. Red/silver/blue stripes on your blue Alcantara seat.....sign here please.

Thanks for posting those Tom. Hopefully Vasilis will be able to post photos of the one in Greece. Would be fantastic to see the build sheet/tag for either one of these.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

Tom,
When was that green rs2 at Tots? Looks remarkably similar! But not quite. So maybe more than just one.
Here are some photos of the car. I have texted the guy and hope I get a reply with a photo of what is needed to make sure its an original rs2. I'm pretty sure it is as it was recently being sold as one. If he has managed to fool everyone, that's another story.
The bottom front door cards have been dressed by himself as he has a stereo system installed and modded the car a lot but the seats and leather inserts on the doors are originalComment
