IMHO is would be cheaper and easier to reshell than to repair, given it is a fwd coupe
    Panthero Coupé quattro 20vt
    Indigo ABY coupé
    Imola B6 S4 Avant

personally id cut my losses and move to either Quattro or a smaller chassis vw with 1.8t.

eitherway a shame to see another one of us pissedoff and a little sore.

Never good when you crash a car but worse when you have spent time repairing/modifying it to what you want.
Im breaking a coupe which has got a perfectly good shell if you want it

Morning all, thanks for the kind words and support and the PM's that I have received. It is great to be part of a community like this. I have been mulling it over for a couple of days now and it breaks my heart but I think I am going to have to cut my losses and break the car. The damage is not repairable without a great deal of time and money (which I don't have).

I would love to re-shell the car but again its a question of money and time, as if I was to do this I would want to go to town on the bodywork and make everything absolutely right, which would render the car as a show car which is not what I want.

I think its time to move on to pastures new and explore some other interesting paths. Sooo.......... does anyone want to buy a 99% complete 1.8T engine conversion for a b4 chassi???

Well I am fairly local, I live in Hudds and work in Brighouse - in fact I know your mate Brian Wright from work! However I'd be getting the engine fitted by my parents' neighbour - if he says he can do it - down in Herefordshire.

If he can't do it then I'm not sure I would do it at all because he's not allowed to work for money and does things like this for fun - so free labour in other words But thanks for the offer I'm sure I'll need some assistance initially

Just spoken to my mate, he can bodge my VW Recaros in my Avant but not do an engine swap

But I've let myself get carried away with this and really wanna do it now!!!! How much assistance can you provide? Do you have the space, equipment and time but just not money of your own to spend on it?

The money is the biggest problem for me, I, like Brian have just finished uni but im only employed part time at the mo. I'm hoping that will change in the near future. My dad is trying to retire so I wont have the use of the garage space for much longer, so i'm gona loose the time and space in the near future.

As far as the assistance I can provide, I dont mind getting my hands dirty and as long as im not out of pocket with fuel etc
