Obviously not as we can see what you have done to it but it does beg the question. You would struggle to convince strangers that you are selling your motor because after alot of time and money you are too scared to use it. Obviously we just know you are just a little loopy

It does sound promising indeed! He says there is minor rust on the arches I think, that's it.That recent work sounds very promising indeed. If the engine runs well, it could well be a winner. Make sure to have a good look underneath for rusted subframes and stuff like that but it sounds like a lot of standard wear and tear items have been sorted. Just make sure they have been sorted properly ha ha. Good luck with it all.
Find out why they are selling it. The only thing that would ring alarm bells is why someone is getting shot after spending so much on it. Check to make sure it isn't using water as maybe the head is on the way out. That is just the cynic in me. Some people do suddenly need to sell things for all manner of suitable reasons. It should be fairly obvious when you ask if they are shifty or not.
Selling due to moving country
He's in no rush to sell at this second but it's available now so I'm going to look!
Yeah completely standard my friendComment

On a stock car, as long as it's been correctly looked after and not suffered from too many boost leaks over the years, you should be laughing. Stock engine can do 250k with correct maintenance. Poor quality remaps, boost leaks and lack of oil changes will reduce the life a bit but then at this age, you should be considering some engine maintenance as part of the package really, especially when you decide to go for 400bhp
