    Why I love my S2...

Friday - tinkering with the spanners.

Saturday - keeping a TT RS honest, chasing Sonic and having a perfect view of a fast shorty on track.

Sunday - supermarket then a run to the dump.

Monday - commute to work in the city.

Only downside... 12mpg over the 3 days

Good effort Andy. The most I ever saw was 32.8 on a run from London to cornwal a few years ago doing 75mph the whole time

It's a bit weird, if you sit at 60 you appear to use more than when slightly on boost at 80

Possibly because with a bit of boost you're driving along with the engine under less load as it's producing more torque - that's where an engine is most efficient... Although I'm sure a high revving Honda for example with peak torque at a heady 5000 rpm (or whatever) isn't going to be most efficient at that point lol

Yeah its funny that. I find cruising along at that sort of speed is more economical too. Out on track was a nice 9mpg I noticed on Saturday

Try a lower gear, it might be more economical.
