    High milers?

With my daily hack t4 pushing 215K and the s2 at almost exactly half that I got thinking......................is it possible to get to, lets say 1000000 miles?

    It would appear it is!

3 Million miles? Wow. My little ZX has done 200k and I thought that was good but seems I have a long way to go. Just booked it in for MOT first week of Dec, pretty sure it will go through again with the usual oil change and some more lower arms. The engine and box just refuse to die and until they do, I refuse to replace it. Paid £500 for it 6yrs ago so seems fair enough to keep it running. It owes me nothing and the seats in my Volcane are soooo comfy. It's ovvo not a patch on the S2 though ha ha

normal driving; newer car will last longer 300000-500000 km its no prob, it the car had some service.. the oilproduct are better too.. and T4 are a solid car ( easy to rebuild to syncro to)

Am a great believer if you look after your motor it will look after you! My cars have all decent miles and touch wood still going strong:
            S2 171000
            A4 1.9TDI Quattro (53 plate) 242000
            A4 2L TDI 74500 (58 plate) and a pile of crap

Audi's just keep going n going

As audis go, few can beat the C4 A6 with the R5 2.5 TDI.
I regularly see examples of them running 500k and still going strong.

I guess the way the car's driven affects milage you get out of it as much as service does. Too bad for the S-cars that they at some point drop in value enough for people that don't care about them, and have little knowledge can afford them.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.

                With you on that.
228k miles & still pulling strong.
I can see years of service left in it.

Road tax is the nail in the coffin in Ireland for big engined cars... €1090 per annum on a car that isn't worth much more in book value has killed most of them off!

I had a coupe Quattro 7a for 8 years before I got my 3 b s2. When I bought it 165k on the clock, when I sold it 287k and still going strong.

The last 100k at fairly high power, either chipped RS2 or GT3071 , still the same crank and block, had new rings and shells when I changed to forged rods but never re-bored, or ground. Still on the original oil pump too Hubs, half shafts and CVs are original too.
