    Respray

Who can recommend me a reputable place to respray my car:

I need a proper quality respray in the same colour that the car was new.

I expect the respray will require windows out.

I expect the window surrounds and roof rails will need to be resprayed matt black/satin black etc.

I need the front wings replacing with other wings which I have

I need the drivers door skin replaced with another door skin that I have.

I need various small bits of rust to be repaired and renewed.

I need various dents to be removed.

I need the work to be done start to finish in a short time frame say two weeks.

I need someone who is recommended and can do a job that will last.

Any ideas, costs etc closer to home is better, but may not be a problems going elsewhere depending on where.

I have requested a quote from a local company, but have not got the quote as yet.

    Any ideas anyone?

On a cost note, if any wants to pm me re budget/costs then I can discuss there

So what is likely to cost...

TBH I don't want to bother people if it is going to be out of my league... PM me if you don't want to post publicly, I know costs and public places can be bad bed fellows

First thing for a good paint will be times for primer to cure, and get into scratches before sandpaper not after painting. So 2 weeks will not be enough

The thing is that cutting corners always ends up in the end costing more. Do it once and do it right. The workmanship speak,s volumes.

Mates rates, if it was mint, IMHO.

                              Hi Duffel,

Maybe consider geting the car detailed properly, and maybe or maybe not replace the two wings depending on the level of rust.

With the door, I wouldn't bother trying to reskin it. I'd use a second hand door. If you very very lucky you might be able to source the same coulour, ( but then again maybe not - would need to be mad lucky ).

Is everyting else sorted on the car before you plough 'one way money' on paint into it ?

                              Just askin…………
