Wheel bolts

Hey guys

Went to fit my A8 sports tonight to the avant but my wheel bolts that I brought over a year ago are to thin

Does anyone know the right thickness ones I need to buy as I will take the length from the new ones I have in order to buy the right bolts....

By thin, do you mean that the diameter is too small?

S2 wheel bolts are M14 thread (14mm diameter). Length wise, OE are 28mm long, so add in the spacers (15mm?) you get 43mm. I like to go longer rather than shorter, so 45mm or 50mm would be fine.

I run 40mm bolts (10mm longer than necessary) with no clearance issues on the inside of the hub.

And OE wheels are the curved taper not the straight taper

Cheers for the info. I will measure the length to make sure I get the right ones but 45mm length sounds familiar....

I think I will put up the eBay number to check with you guys before I order them to make sure I get the right ones as I don't fancy another 20 wrong bolts floating round lol

I may have a set of those spare as I've converted to studs, I'll take a look now.

thats definitley the right thread/pitch and radius seat so aslong as there long enough you'll be fine

The set I've got are tapper seat, so no good too you.

Just to check the amount that the wheel itself needs, slip a stock bolt through the A8 wheel and check there's the same amount sticking through as with a stock S2 wheel
