LOL ha ha no didn't cut it!! Too many wires as soon as I connected everything up its worked again but am confident its the back up batteries so am away to a VW Audi specialist in Mehring on the Mosel will try and update later today cheers!!

Just an update as Anth doesn't have an internet connection at the moment. He sent me a text saying his car is sorted and operating fine again. He thanks everyone involved in this caper.

Evening Everyone finally arrived at a hotel with internet connection I will upload photos of my trip when am back in the UK from Thursday but the good news is the S2 is fine after its initial hi-cup and me panicing I think lol!!! My S2 has had many of admirers but when I was asking for some advice from a little VW/Audi specialist along the mosel the only guy that spoke English actually owned a S2 sedan how bloody lucky is that he said is was 350 bhp and surprises many people with his "old car" lol!! He said he aint seen a coupe as nice as mine for years and we spent at least an hour talking about cars much to the annoyance of wooor lass!!! Just to make you guys jealous temps mainly 30c+ and plenty of grosse a biers!!!!!! yummy!!! just finishing suppin a grosse bitburger

I'm not long back from a trip around Europe although had to take the camper instead of the S2 (it was a camping trip after all), I spent a few days in the area you've been in. If you get the chance it's worth going to Koblenz (where the Mosel meets the river Rhine) then heading south on the road that follows the Rhine.. Great road to drive, really amazing scenery as you follow the river down the valley. Hope I get to go back there in the S2 some day....

Yeah cheers mate yeah was at Koblenz yesterday shopping lovely drive don't have the time to go down the Rhine but have done it many moons ago and was very enjoyable been to the Ring today and its been a bloody washout bought a few things at the shop but back in the hotel on the mosel tonight beside Bergen 20 mins from Cochem and then preparing myself for tomorrows long drive home by having a few relaxing beers and getting ready to watch the football

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me when I was in Germany I think I may have paniced a little but when your in a different country with limited use of their language and your cars struggling your not sure where to go! If it was in this country not a problem but thanks anyway

Initially shock at first then I think they realised the Brazilians were rubbish unfortunately they were going bloody mental on the streets after the match tooting the car horns everywhere and most importantly loads of gross a biers lol

I don't know till I take it to a specialist but am guessing the back up batteries on the actual alarm unit itself that's all I can think it is when I took it apart
