No Tax Disc

So now that we don't have to have a tax disc, what do we do to see if we have road tax?

Normally I go outside newsh mansions and wander round the cars and look in the shed at the motorbikes checking the discs, what do I do now? I bet there's some kind of 21st century web based way of doing this that doesn't invlove walking and you young internet savvy fellas are going to tell me all about it.

AFAIK everything else is the same - you still get reminders as before etc

Only now you pay your money and don't even get the large stamp type thing to unpick carefully and put in your car. In a weird way at least you got something for the extortion, now we just hand over the cash and only get a post office or internet receipt

Yeh the march forward with so called technology is sadly a step backwards in my book John. You are now going to have to check all your vehicles paperwork now which will be time consuming to even have an idea it's up or wait for the reminder.

I hope you're not one of those who holds me up in the queues to pay for petrol with a card? i am much more braison and emboldened at my local station,always busy, i just walk up to the till and say £30 pump no 6 cheers and walk. All of 10 seconds.If i stood in the que card in hand with the other numpties i would be there at least 5 minutes. The old ways are best a lot of the time.

We have "pay at the pump round here", I don't even have to get off the bike, with the cars I pay by card, my wallet is not big enough for filling them these days

And on and on.We have all seen them.

I like the wallets not big enough these days We all must get into the Consultant line of world class stadium pa/sound systems.

We also have the pay at pump but being fairly close to London i get freaked out my card could be skimmed.
