It's a similar situation with Live music venues. You can rent a cheap flat over a music venue that's been there for 20 years and get the venue shut down due to noise pollution! Absolutely crazy!!

No different at fire stations.
Every time there is a change of watch, the on coming driver has do carry out a full check on the appliance. This includes running the pump, testing the hoses and the SIRENS.
The cottages behind the station used to be designated to firemen, but of course that has mainly all gone now. The houses were sold off cheaply, but now the residents complain and we are told not to make noise when testing the appliances so the neighbours don't complain. Crazy eh?

Idiots! I bet they wouldn't complain when they needed a fire engine and it turned up in 5 seconds? I think living close to a fire station would be a good thing surely.

The only noise that goes right through me is church bells but then I wouldn't be stupid enough to live next door to a church. It has been there longer than me.

Anyhow, totally agree with the above. Petition signed.
