There is no justification in this speed and more than likely he knew the road too, should have taken it on better roads IMHO. We've all done it getting a new car and want to see how fast it goes, but for a short blast and not for the entire motorway!

Nothing a bit of T-cut wont polish out....

The reason for survival here was propably that they didn't hit a wall, but slowed down over a fair bit of distance and the car's deformation zones did their job.

The S2 is an old design, but it's stronger then the age would indicate. I had an unfortunate "parking" at a trackday last year. A friend was driving and we lost the brakes and hit a wall rather hard. We walked away with nothing more then a couple of stiff necks and when they got the car out of the tyres in front of the guard rail it looked much better then I could hope for.

From the marks on the road it looks like maybe one or 2 wheels broke when he hit that bump. 200mph on a public road

Moved that guard rail a fair bit! The car did very well didn't it. Procon 10 or airbgs? Or is it caged?

Was some energy in that crash yes. Car was much better looking then anticipated Don't have procon 10 or airbags and only a roll bar behind the seats. Full cage next year.....

                      That was lucky!

Looks like the tyre wall/guard rail deformed a lot, did its job of slowing the car down.

The safety measures did it's job very well and saved both us and the car from some serious damage

To avoid OT in this thread I'll start a new thread about the car and it's faith
