Fan not come after changing mfts

I had a the top rad hose goes , so I replaced with silicon hoses. Top water up and bleed system . Got it up to temperature , fan came on ! took it out for a test run temp. Went. Down. To about 70 degrees ( it was very cold that day mind ) then had temp symbol. Flashing. Up on dash and bleeping , so. I replaced. Mfts. Now. Symbol and beeping has gone. But but the temp sensor. Is ready. About. 105/110 degrees. And the fan has not come on. I Checked fuse for fan. Car doesn't seem like it is over heating but don't want to risk it.
Is the a test I can do to find out the problem any help with this. Would be great

    Regard. Ryan

The fan coming on / off is nothing to with the mfts. the temp sender for that is at the bottom of the radiator.

Your gauge sender (MFTS) is in the head

Did you bleed all the air out of the system ?

Just tryed it again after checking Wiring connections. And checking it's bleed again , when checking fan switch on bottom of rad notice bottom of rad was cold but top was quite warm. Could. It be thermostat. Or. Rad needs flushing through do u think

i think you got air in your System if part of the Radiator is cold.

That's what I think , but I have been squeezing. Bottom rad hose feels like there is water in there. And u can see. Water moving in the tank. I have undone Bleed screw when doing this and it seem bleed. Could stat be stuck closed ?

              What MFTS did you get?

A lot of the replacements read high, the one I got from Pete Reeve/Quattro corner read high, when I called him he said its a know issue, not to worry about it.

If you have vag com you I think you can see water temp from the back of the head?

In a way you get what you pay for, Pete had given me the option for the different MFTS, OE was more expensive but reads right

Fan should kick in one or two? notches above 90 IIRC. While driving my temperature stays at 90 or just above or just below. After a long run you should hear the after run pump kick in, is it working for you?

Mine made the gauge read high, fan kicked in etc, but everything was further round on the gauge, so you you had to let the car "overheat" on the guage before the fan came in and the guage read another line round at operating temp.

I would obviously do this with caution in case you have another issue.

If your the pins in the plug in the loom can also be corroded.

dont bleed the car with the cap off if you run the car up to temp the odds are you will boil the coolant ,

if the bottom radiator hose stays cold, the thermostat is not opening or there's air.

You need to have the heaters turned up hot with the fan on. It can take a long time to get the car up to temperature at idle
