New RS2 parts produced on Audi Tradition

Looks like a few new parts being listed on the TR site:

    Manifolds €1000!
Lower mesh trims for the bumpers at €50 per side
    S2/RS2 PS lines
RS2 centre rear reflector section (under grab handle for boot) €142!
    Badging €25
    S2 rear badge is €34....?!?!?!?
    sunroof trim...€101!!!

lots of other goodies there too but the pricing is all over the place...love to know who sets them and the rationale behind that.

The fact that you can't find the original parts anywhere else gives them the right to price them as they feel like it. Especially when they don't mass produce them anymore it's more costly to them.

yep the business model is financial gain through monopolisation I'd agree with that. There isn't much of an interest in helping preserve their heritage through accessible, quality parts aimed at people with a passion to keep these old cars on the road is there.

Great to see parts being remade but leaves a very sour taste in my mouth...

Also curious which parts have been remade....they could have spent a little thought time thinking about highly stressed items which many people would likely replace given the chance, propshaft centre bearings and cv's for example.

Making a few bits and pieces can't be that hard.

What pisses me off more than anything is their "can't be bothered" approach to parts supply that isn't even going to cost them time or money.
ABY cambelt is a good example - NLA from Audi, but you can still buy the exact same part from Gates. Whoever is in charge of their used parts supply policy is a total c*nt :corey:

Come on Alex, don't mince your words. Say it how you really see it

I miss my S2 but there are some elements of not owning an Audi that are quite good and the availability and cost of parts is deffo one of them.

yep, I paid £92 this morning for 4 wishbone bushes for the cast arms - frankly that is crazy money for 4 pieces of rubber in a metal sleeve. I just kept chanting to myself that the original ones lasted 7 years

Why didn't you go for powerflex?

Only piece of rubber in my suspension and my experience of of stuff is related to their rs2 arb bushes and I thought they were poor quality for the money so OEM for bushes for me

I thought so too initially but after spending 250 euros for all 18 bushes front and back a few years back I decided that the rears are good for oem as they lasted around 14 years while the fronts gave way too soon. So I replaced the fronts with powerflex and haven't had issues for the last 6 years

For sure Audi parts are not of the same quality they were 25 years ago.
