Strange request

Hi Guys,

I posted on the S2 FB group quite a while back and didn't get much of a response. I was wondering if anyone in the Birmingham area would be kind enough to take me for a run in their S2. The reason behind this is because my late step father had a 3B in Pearl White from new - was a H Reg. I believe when he sold it in 1996 it ended up in London. He passed away a few years back and every weekend my Mum and him would pick me up in it and drop me home on the Sunday. I myself bought a TT Quattro Sport, as I felt it was the unofficial replacement for the S2 - the S5 is in theory though.

I am also a fairly active member on the TT forum, same username if anyone wants to make sure.

That would be awesome if that was possible, I am going to my mums on Thursday to trawl through her photo albums to find a pic and the plate - it was H and ended in FEA, it was purchased from Quicks when new. Had the carbon interior, and none leather seats with Quattro on them. I remember every winter him telling me a story about snow and the diff lock button as I always wanted to press it lol - I was 8/9 at the time

Get yourself to ADI and there will be a whole load of S2s and someone will surely take you for a spin. If I'm there with my coupe I certainly will although it's not quite a standard 3B any more..

Come to ADI if you like S2's - it's the biggest turn out of the year and if you get lucky you could end up on track in one giving it some beans
