15 Years On Today!!!

Well its been exactly 15 years today (25th October) since I purchased my superb S2 Coupe. Still not bored with it been a fantastic car. Been for a blast up to my favourite jaunt at Kielder today whilst weather is still decent then washed and tucked her back up in the garage!!! 15 years has to be up there with the longest ownership of our beloved cars??

Not an S2 but I bought my 1993 S4 in June 1998 which, if I do the math correctly, is 17 plus years. When he chimes in UrS4guy (Hap M.), with the Green Monstah 1993 UrS4, will probably win. He bought his new so something like 22 years.

Bought my Coupe in May 1996, so I am at over 19 years. I just keep changing stuff and trying to upgrade in various ways. Almost the longest I have owned any car. I have had my for 73 914 2L since 1981, but not on the road right now. It needed a redo.

All the above that's a long time to own our motors!! I would hate to add up exactly how much we have spent on our cars it would be quite frightening!! Purchase + maintainence = too much lol!!

I actually started to try and build a spreadsheet per year against all the receipts I have since I bought it...few more to do and I'll share it

Yep, all part of the journey with an S2...I still sit on my commute thinking what to do with it, then the road clears and it roars and I know the right answer

Totally agree they're a tease our cars just when you think hmmm.... Yeah I fancy something different it just reminds you every time you put your foot down the reason why you bought it in the first place!! Fancied an RS6 for ages struggling to justify to the wife the reason in having 2 performance cars lol!! Still might surprise her

No need to spend a fortune on buying an rs6 to surprise the wife... Just shout surprise when she walks through the front door and jump on her. That way she isn't allowed to say no and will get the surprise of her life. And it's loads cheaper for you!


Oh and I've had my avant about 6years now. Longest I've owned a car and had it roadworthy.
