What is it we love about our Cars!!?

I get asked this a bit about why I shell out so much money for a 21 year old car and the answer I always give is that they are just incredible!

So what is it you love about your pride and joy? I'll start:

    1. The exclusivity and the rarity of these special cars
    2. Admiring glances
    3. Performance
    4. Forum meeting and people on here

I just want to share peoples opinions, photos and why we do what we do

The engineering standard is before bean counters got too involved.
Only a few ecu's. Not 78 to lug around. Nice and light compared to modern rubbish.

Quality, simplicity, rugedness, ease of repair (if DIY), availability of maintenance information, the feel, 5-pot turbo sound and quattro. These 90-s cars kinda catch attention more than the new ones, especially if maintained well.

There's quite a lot S2's or other "S" models been tweaked so each to their own when it comes to power delivery but I think one thing everyone can share is they surprise people when you pull away!! My mate at work has a 54 plate Meganne sport 225 bhp model and keeps bragging that his car will completely leave my "Old Audi" standing lol. I soon put that to bed when I asked him the following day last week did he enjoy smelling my petrol fumes!! He wasn't best pleased but did agree that mine certainly pulled away very quick!! That's why we love our "Old" cars lol

And apparently you can polish them within an inch of their lives. Wow. Dazelling

              This.

Also, a lot of newer cars have no 'soul', for want of a better word.

There aren't two alike. They're brilliant sleepers, at work today, my mates Honda was parked next to mine, and guy took a picture of his car, and completely blanked mine probably not knowing what he just missed out on also you can get some insane numbers out of them for relatively small money. When I think about my yacht, I like how there will always be something to improve, modern cars come with everything already, so all you do is just drive.

Your old Audi is far from standard though right?

Running on standard power never tweaked that. Just suspension and exhaust and S8 wheels

Once you enjoy an "UrS", you'd understand!

I love how the UrS is always surprised the modern technology cars.

one of a few I5 from Asia.

I love the velour seats in my coupe.........altogether a nicer place to be than the S2?
                              S2 goes quicker though.
