So new subframe done bushes in up and bolted up. Wishbones on , new lemforder rear tie rods are too long fully wound back ? What the ? ! I measured them against ones I removed to get approx length right and had to wind em fully back and still makes rear wheels toe in any ideas ? I didn't remove driveshafts and hubs either . Just rear struts and subframe overhaul.
Andy , no they hadn't moved and bought the rods off the chap on here . Even undid the ball joint to get max movement outwards ... I measured new ones against rusty old ones to get correct height so well strange .?
Is it the same subframe with new bushes or a refurbished subframe?
If it is another subframe it could be from a another quattro car with different length tie rods and slightly different tie rod mount location on the subframe.
It is a diff subframe yes, a 3b with no arb brackets , I removed my ones from old subframe and re welded , but I thought the tie rod mounts were in same place .? I re welded arb brackets over tie rod mounts .. Have I answered my own question !!?

The 3B subframe has arb brackets, so your replacement isn't from a 3B. Probably from a UR??
